Some weddings simply feel effortless from beginning to end, and Aimée and Cameron's wedding at Master Builders House in the New Forest was exactly that.
Set right on the water and surrounded by beautiful gardens, flowers, and historic buildings, the venue created the perfect backdrop for a day that felt relaxed, emotional, and full of genuine connection. Every part of the day flowed beautifully, allowing them to spend plenty of time with the people they love most while still having opportunities to step away and soak everything in together.
From heartfelt vows that had guests wiping away tears to quiet moments spent wandering around the grounds together, it was one of those weddings that felt incredibly special from start to finish. It was also lovely working alongside Eleanor from Your Something Social, who was there capturing behind-the-scenes moments throughout the day as their content creator.
A Relaxed Morning Getting Ready
The day began with Cameron getting ready alongside his groomsmen and both dads, and honestly, the atmosphere was exactly what you'd hope for on a wedding morning. Everyone was relaxed, cracking jokes, and simply enjoying being together before the day officially began.
One of my favorite moments was watching Cameron open a letter and gift from Aimée before the ceremony. It was such a thoughtful and personal touch, and another reminder of how much intention they had woven into every part of the day.
Meanwhile, Aimée spent the morning getting ready in the beautiful Balthazar Cottage provided by Master Builders House with her bridesmaids and her mum. There was such a lovely balance throughout both mornings; calm and emotional moments mixed with plenty of laughter, excitement, and all of those little in-between interactions.
Aimee looked absolutely beautiful in her gown from Olivia George Bridal in Alresford. The delicate lace bodice, soft layers of tulle, and subtle sparkle gave it a romantic feel while still feeling effortlessly elegant.
We also made time to photograph both Aimée and Cameron separately with their families and wedding party before the ceremony. It's something I always encourage if the timeline allows because it means everyone gets to enjoy more of the day afterwards rather than feeling like they're constantly being pulled away for photos.
Personal Details That Made Their Day So Special
One of the things that stood out most about Aimée and Cameron's wedding was just how many personal touches were included throughout the day.
When photographing detail photos in the morning, it's easy to admire beautiful pieces without always knowing the story behind them. Sometimes the meaning behind those details makes them even more special.
One detail I absolutely loved was Aimée's ring box. Inside was a custom butterfly that Cameron had originally drawn for her on their first anniversary, which was then incorporated into the design of the box itself.
The ring box itself was beautifully created by Max at Flowers for Lola, and once I learned the story behind it, it became even more meaningful. It's such a thoughtful detail and one that perfectly reflects the amount of thought Cameron put into making Aimée feel celebrated from the very beginning of the day. Safe to say, the bar has officially been raised. Future grooms, take notes. 😉
Another thing that completely amazed me was learning that Aimée and Cameron created all of the floral arrangements, table décor, and signage themselves.
Honestly, if I hadn't asked, I would have assumed a professional styling team had put everything together. Everything felt cohesive without ever feeling overdone, and every detail reflected their style perfectly.
The florals in particular were stunning and brought so much life and softness to every part of the day. Knowing Aimée created the arrangements herself made it even more impressive.
Funny enough, Aimée told me that their friends have already started asking them to create signs for their own weddings now too, which honestly doesn't surprise me one bit. They may have accidentally started a side business without realizing it.
A Special First Look with Her Dad and Brothers
Before the ceremony, Aimée shared a first look with her dad and brothers, which was incredibly sweet to witness.
I always love witnessing these moments, especially when parents or siblings are involved. There's something incredibly genuine about watching them realize that a day they've imagined, talked about, and looked forward to for years is suddenly happening right in front of them.
A Bright and Emotional Ceremony
One of the things I loved most about the ceremony space at Master Builders House was how bright and inviting it felt.
Natural light poured in through the surrounding windows, while the room itself still felt intimate and full of character. It struck such a lovely balance between feeling airy and cozy, creating a beautiful atmosphere for both the guests and the photographs.
Aimée's dad walked her down the aisle before they exchanged incredibly personal vows that had almost everyone tearing up, myself included.
There were so many beautiful reactions throughout the ceremony, from guests smiling through tears to parents becoming emotional during some of the most heartfelt moments.
Those reactions often capture an entirely different perspective of the ceremony. While the couple are immersed in their own little bubble, it's so lovely for them to later relive the day and see the reactions of the people who were experiencing every moment right alongside them.
After a beautiful first kiss as newlyweds, everyone headed outside to celebrate.
Confetti, Family Photos, and Cocktail Hour
We moved straight into confetti, which is always one of the most playful moments of the day.
Afterwards, we gathered everyone together for family photographs before allowing guests to enjoy cocktail hour and explore the beautiful grounds.
One thing I particularly loved about Master Builders House was how easy it was to move from one part of the day to another. Nothing ever felt rushed, and there was plenty of space for guests to mingle and enjoy themselves.
Portraits Around the Grounds of Master Builders House
Master Builders House offers so much variety without ever feeling overwhelming, which makes it such a lovely venue to photograph.
Being right on the water already makes it incredibly unique, but it's the variety throughout the grounds that really stands out. Between the flowers, pathways, historic buildings, and waterfront views, there are endless opportunities for portraits without ever needing to travel far.
Aimée and Cameron were such a joy to photograph because they were simply so comfortable together. Nothing felt forced, and their personalities naturally came through in every photograph.
Their family and friends reflected exactly who they are as people too: kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to celebrate them.
Dinner and Speeches
After cocktail hour, everyone headed back inside for dinner and speeches before easing into the evening celebrations.
It was a lovely opportunity for everyone to slow down for a moment, enjoy a meal together, and hear a few words from the people closest to Aimée and Cameron before the dance floor officially opened.
Throughout the entire day, one thing that stood out most was just how lovely everyone was. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine excitement for the two of them could be felt in every room.
It always says so much about a couple when their family and friends reflect exactly the same energy they bring themselves.
Stepping Away for Evening Portraits
Before the evening celebrations really got going, we took ten quiet minutes to wander around the grounds together.
The sky was filled with the softest colors of the evening, creating such a lovely backdrop for a few final portraits before heading back inside.
By this point, all of the nerves have disappeared, the timeline has slowed down, and couples get a chance to simply be together and soak in the fact that they're officially married.
Cake Cutting, Dancing, and Celebrating
Afterwards, everyone headed back inside to continue the celebrations with cake cutting, dancing, and a packed dance floor for the rest of the evening.
The cake, beautifully made by Cameron's sister Camellia, was another lovely personal touch woven into the day.
After cutting the cake and welcoming evening guests, everyone gathered outside for sparklers before the first dance and the dance floor officially opened for the night. It was a fun little pause in the evening and another chance for everyone to celebrate together before heading back inside for the rest of the party.
With Signature Moments Disco keeping the music going, it didn't take long before everyone was up dancing.
Aimée's dad was absolutely stealing the show at times, throwing all sorts of shapes on the dance floor and making sure everyone was having a good time.
It felt like the perfect ending to a wedding that was so thoughtfully planned and centered around the people who mean the most to Aimée and Cameron. Fun, relaxed, and full of genuine joy from beginning to end.
